2021-09-02

Aukua Systems announces the immediate availability of Aukua MGA2510 v3.3.0! This is an important release with many new features, especially for our Traffic Generator and Inline Capture and Protocol Analyzer. This release also contains numerous important bug fixes, performance enhancements and general UI improvements for the Network Impairment Emulator. See below for information on how to upgrade your MGA2510 to take advantage of the many new features and capabilities!!

Key New Features and Enhancements in v3.3.0:

Traffic Generator/Analyzer & Inline Capture Analyzer

  • New Error and Inter Frame Gap (IFG) Stats and Analysis New error stats include: 8b10b Disparity Errors, 64b/66b Block Type Errors, 64b/66b Sync Header Errors. New IFG stats include: Shortest IPG seen, Short IPG events, Longest Preamble seen, Short Preamble events, Long Preamble events Additionally, when conducting an L2 Packet Capture, it is possible to generate meta packets marking each of these IFG events with nanosecond precision timestamp data for easier visibility and uniquely powerful analysis.
  • New ‘L1 Bit Capture’ Trigger Capabilities: We have added more events which can be used to trigger the start of an L1 Bit Capture. These include: ‘Trigger Port Input (Falling Edge)’ and detecting Long Preamble, Short Preamble, or Short IPG events. Users are able to configure the percentage of the capture buffer used for pre-trigger versus post-trigger data. Even more capture trigger types are planned for future releases.
  • Custom Filter Stats (CFS) Analyzer now operates alongside Capture Streaming: It is now possible to stream L2 packet capture data over SSH while also running the CFS Analyzer. The Filters used by the CFS Analyzer are also used as Capture Filters for the streaming capture.
  • Other Enhancements of Note
    • Custom Filter Stats (CFS) Analyzer stats are now included in the ‘Stats Logging’ feature
    • Added visibility into the SQI bits provided by the BASE-T1 Automotive Ethernet SFP transceivers
    • Added ability to dynamically insert custom ‘marker’ text into the ‘Stats Log file’
    • Added RoCEv1 Ethertype and RoCEv2 UDP Port Number to the Filter Library
    • Front panel LED array now flashes to visually indicate Trigger Out events at the front panel ‘TRIG Out’ SMA port
  • Numerous Bug Fixes and Performance Enhancements

Network Impairment Emulator
